Welcome to our website here at East Counseling and Psychotherapy. My Name is Naser Kargar Eds, LPC, CPCS. I am the lead therapist, owner and supervisor at east Counseling and psychotherapy. I started East Counseling with the passion of serving others and helping our citizens and our community. I always, had great interest for assisting others and giving back. Later in life when I became a therapist, I had this dream that one day establish a clinic that can serve children, teens, and adults. Here I am 13 years later and accomplished my dream. It was not an easy task and I have to go through a lot of ups and downs to get here but it is rewarding to see that we are able to accomplish something meaningful in our community which is city of Buford and nearby cities. Before establishing East Counseling, I used to work as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital in south Atlanta-Anchor Hospital for 5 years after graduation from Georgia State University. At the same time, held a community therapist position in city of Alpharetta and provided counseling services to clients at their home settings. After collecting some experiences in the field in 2013, I decided to establish East Counseling to peruse my dream of owning a business and managing and controlling all the aspects of counseling business. My therapy approach working with adults is Gestalt therapy in which I focus on here and now and helping my clients gain awareness and live here and now. Majority of cases that I encounter in adult population are anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, stress, and self-esteem concerns. My style of therapy is very active and at the moment. I am not laid back in my sessions and at times pick on my clients intentionally in the aim of shaking and waking them up to be present with me in the session. At times, I might be a little hard headed and firm depending on issues that the client that I am sitting with is presenting. So, in a nut shell my approach at times, could look like experiential. I see many clients with past trauma experiences and help them to gain mastery of their life and manage their life more effectively. One of my specialties which I received training is play therapy which is the best therapy modality for working with children. We have a play room where I meet my young clients for play therapy. Another area of my interest in therapy is group therapy. 5 years ago, I became a supervisor and now I have a new interest. I like helping freshly graduated clinician and supervise their work and give them feedbacks. Lastly, we accept several insurances and we can send claims on your behalf.

Hello. My name is Saralan. I have been working at East Counseling and Psychotherapy since June 2022, and I am under the supervision of Naser Kargar EdS, LPC. I am certified as a LAPC in the state of Georgia, and I am currently working towards my LPC licensure. I received my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at Georgia Southern University. My Master’s degree is in Counselor Education with my specialty being Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I really enjoy working with different populations and topics. I believe each person is unique and brings different things into the session. Due to this, I am eclectic in my approach to therapy. I believe each person needs something different from me to grow as a person and work through their trauma and their life challenges. With children and teens, I really enjoy utilizing aspects of art and play therapy to help and encourage them. I also enjoy working with adults and helping them to navigate their life options and making better decisions and understand themselves better.
